Registration/Login FAQ

Why do I need to register?

When you register, you'll get the most out of your 20/20 Community experience. You’ll be able to use the health tracker, create a profile, participate in forums and blogs, submit a success story or and view much of the site’s content.
Can I use the 20/20 Community site without registering?
There are certain areas that you can view without registering. You can view the Alumni Support section as well as parts of the Nutrition channel. You'll be prompted to register when you attempt to access exclusive content and tools available only to registered users.
I registered but can't sign in. What could be the problem?
If you can't sign into 20/20 Community, it's possible that you:
  • entered the wrong password three times, resulting in your account being suspended temporarily
  • violated 20/20 Community’s Posting guidelines or Terms of Use
If you continue to have problems signing in, please Contact Us.

How do I change my username?
Due to system limitations, once a username is created it cannot be modified.
Why does my 20/20 Community and PRO Club website username, password, and email address have to be the same?
The PRO Club and 20/20 Community websites store information in a single database that is shared across websites. Given this, should you decide to change your email address and/or password, the change will impact both sites.

What should I do if I forget my username or password?

Each registered account must be associated with an individual user. Once a user registers on the site, they have the ability to create a profile, write a blog, contribute to forums, track their meals and exercise, and much more.
What are 20/20 Community’s Terms of Use?
This is the agreement you enter into with 20/20 Lifestyles when you use the site. It tells you what you can expect from us and what we expect from you. 20/20 Community’s Terms of Use.

20/20 BeWell FAQ

General Questions
Is the previous 20/20 LifeStyles tracker still available?
The previous tracker was changed to read only but will be accessible until October 1, 2011.
Was any of my data transferred from the previous 20/20 LifeStyles tracker to 20/20 BeWell?
Yes, all Profile Settings, Custom Foods and Saved Meals data was transferred into your new 20/20 BeWell account.

Unfortunately, we weren’t able to port over all tracked foods users have entered in the previous tracker. In our effort to improve the product, we completely remodeled the food database to enable us to scale the application to a much larger set of users. In doing so, it made it impractical to move over all historical data.

Who has access to my personal information in 20/20 BeWell?
Only select 20/20 LifeStyles staff members, including dietitians and physicians have access to this information. Our staff is trained and compliant with all HIPAA privacy rules and practices. Please refer to our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use for more information.
Can I suggest a food I want added to the 20/20 food database?
Absolutely, please use Contact Us to send us your feedback, comments and questions on any topic.
How do I report a problem?
Please Contact Us with a description of the problem you’re experiencing and what you were doing when the issue occurred.
Why am I unable to view my assessment information?
This feature is scheduled for an upcoming release.

Also, 20/20 clients that participated in the program prior to mid-2008 may not be able to view their assessment data and photos. This information is stored and accessible in the 20/20 LifeStyles office.

Is there a plan to support metric units?
Currently there is no plan to support metric units.
I’m a 20/20LifeStyles Alumni, can I access 20/20 BeWell?
Yes, 20/20 BeWell is available to all alumni of the 20/20 LifeStyles Program.
What are the browser requirements?
  • Windows: Internet Explorer 6 or later , Firefox 3 or later
  • Mac OS/X: Safari 4 or later

What are the Microsoft Silverlight requirements?
  • Microsoft Silverlight 4
  • Windows: Windows XP or later
  • Mac OS/X : 10.4.8 or later

Does 20/20 BeWell work with Silverlight 5?
Since Silverlight 5 is a pre-release or beta version, 20/20 BeWell does not support issues related to this version. While 20/20 BeWell will function in Silverlight 5, users may experience errors.
When will 20/20 BeWell expand to Windows Phone 7 and other mobile platforms?
As part of our continued support of Microsoft, it is important to note that with the exception of the new mobile app, 20/20 BeWell is built entirely on Microsoft technology using Microsoft server, development and web services technologies.

However, given that 20/20 BeWell is a highly data-centric application with over 20,000 foods offline, it requires a database on the phone. While the current version of Windows Phone 7 does not include a database, we understand the upcoming release (Mango) will include a SQL CE database. Now that the developer tools are available for this release, rest assured we will begin scoping out the development of 20/20 BeWell for Windows Phone 7.

Why does 20/20 BeWell timeout?
20/20 BeWell uses a 30 minute session time out to protect the confidentiality of your personal information. The session time out occurs when there is no browser activity for 30 minutes.

If you’ve selected the ‘Keep me signed in” box when signing in, once your session has timed out, you’ll be returned to the Tracking screen. Any information that has not been actively saved will be lost.

Why doesn’t 20/20 BeWell work with my Mac computer?
20/20 BeWell uses Microsoft Silverlight technology. Silverlight 2.0 is compatible only with Macs that have Intel-based processor chips. Older Macs (pre-2006) are generally not compatible with Silverlight or 20/20 BeWell.

How do the weekly weight loss goal settings work?
Maintain Setting
  • This setting puts your weight loss goal at +1% to -1% of your reference weight.
  • For example, if your reference weight is 200 pounds, your goal for your current week would be 202 - 198 lbs or +1 to -1% weight gain/loss.
Weight Loss Setting
  • This setting puts your weight loss goal at -1% to -2% of your reference weight.
  • For example, if your reference weight is 200 pounds, your goal for your current week would be 198 – 196 lbs or 1 to 2% weight loss.

How is my reference weight determined?
The reference weight used to calculate your weight loss is based on finding a recent weight you have entered. 20/20 BeWell searches for your reference weight in three steps:
  1. Previous Week: The last entered value from the previous week or earlier.
  2. Current Week: The last entered value from the current week.
  3. Future: The first entered value found next week or into the future.
New Users
When you register, the tracker asks for your current weight. With a new account, this weight is used as your reference weight. If you would like to have your goals calculated on your weight from the previous week, use the calendar control to move the date back one week, then enter a weight value.

Use the calendar control to move the date forward to view the current week. Your reference weight will now be the weight value you entered last week.

Can I automatically download my steps using my Omron pedometer?
Currently, the data transfer process from the Omron pedometer into the tracker is disabled. We expect to users to be able to automatically download their steps into 20/20 BeWell by the end of the year.
How does the plate model work?
20/20 implemented the plate model concept as a technique to help ensure clients achieve macronutrient balance. The plate model is introduced in the program during or just before the final phase one dietitian session. Each meal has a unique set of macronutrients as described below:
  • Breakfast
    • Lean proteins
    • Carbohydrates
    • Heart-healthy fats
  • Snacks
    • Lean proteins
    • Carbohydrates
  • Lunch & Dinner
    • Lean proteins
    • Carbohydrates
    • Non-starchy vegetables
    • Heart-healthy fats
Each plate model is a graphical representation of the macronutrients to be consumed at each meal or snack. The plate is effectively 2, 3, or 4 checkboxes that can be checked off. The active checking is required to raise awareness of the macronutrient content of each meal.
Why is there a maximum of 15 water glasses that can be selected?
It was determined 15 glasses was an adequate representation of the maximum amount of water consumed per day.
Why don’t my macronutrient percentages add to 100%?
It’s likely that when creating a custom food, the total calories do not reconcile with the amounts of protein, carbs and fat that were entered. If these amounts are not accurate, the macronutrient percentages will not add to 100%.
What does RPE mean?
RPE is Rate of Perceived Exertion. The RPE Scale included as part of the Cardio feature, gives a quantitative identification of the feeling of fatigue, indicating a subjective sensation of physical effort.

HealthVault FAQ

What is HealthVault?

Microsoft® HealthVault™ is a new personal health technology platform that lets you gather, store and share health information online.
How does HealthVault work?
With HealthVault, users control their own health information, so they can privately share information with family and health care providers like 20/20 Lifestyles. As an example, one of the primary ways that health information is added to HealthVault is through programs like 20/20 that users authorize to access their account. Programs may perform specific tasks, such as transferring weight and pedometer steps into your HealthVault record. Users control whether programs can view information in each health record, and whether or not programs can add or change data. Additionally, users can share health information with people and programs to better meet and manage health-related goals. For example, you can share health information from records you control to:
  • Consult with your 20/20 provider(s) and family doctor
  • Share fitness information with your trainer
  • Access tools like the 20/20 Vista sid gadget to help you monitor your weight and pedometer steps

Why should I use HealthVault?
HealthVault allows you to easily store your health information provided by health care programs like 20/20 Lifestyles or your family doctor. You can also effectively monitor key health metrics during your 20/20 program through the Vista desktop gadget.
How does HealthVault help keep my health information private?
HealthVault privacy efforts are built on four core principles, augmenting Microsoft’s corporate privacy policies:
  1. The health records you create in HealthVault are controlled by you
  2. You decide what information goes into your health records
  3. You decide who can see and use your information on a case-by-case basis
  4. HealthVault doesn’t use your health information for commercial purposes

Can I close my HealthVault account?
As the owner of your HealthVault account, you can close it at any time. However, if you’re the only custodian for any health records in the account, those health records will be completely deleted. Also, if you’ve given any programs access to records, their access will be removed. Once you close an account, you cannot change your mind and restore the records. They are permanently deleted, unless the records have another custodian.

Pedometer & Gadget FAQ
Why should I click "Install This Driver Anyway"? Isn’t that a warning to protect my computer?
Any time you see a warning about software not being signed by a trusted publisher, you should always be sure of the source prior to installing. In this case, Microsoft is working closely with Omron, and the HealthVault team has assured us the software is safe to install.
Why do I need a Windows Live ID? The HealthVault site says I can use my OpenID.
At this time, you need a Windows Live ID to use HealthVault Connection Center, which allows you to get daily steps from the pedometer.
What do I do with the CD that came with the pedometer?
There is no need to load the CD. If you do not have Windows Vista, it is a way to upload your steps to your computer. If you have Windows Vista, and load the CD, it will not affect your pedometer's connection to 20/20 or the gadget.
What can I do if I have Windows XP, and not Windows Vista?
You can still use the pedometer and HealthVault Connection Center. Your steps will go into your permanent record on HealthVault and will be copied to 20/20.
My trainer says they can’t see my daily steps from my pedometer? I thought this information was being shared with the 20/20 team.
Although your 20/20 team cannot yet see the information copied from HealthVault, we expect to have it available to them shortly.
The Bi symbol on my pedometer is blinking, and the manual says this means the watch is full and I might lose data. What do I need to do?
The Omron HJ-720IT pedometer can remember 7 days of step data at a time. As long as you connect your pedometer and copy your steps from it at least once a week, you will not lose any data.
I lost my pedometer. Can I get a replacement?
Yes; pedometers are available for purchase on the Webstore, or in the Pro Shop. A second pedometer will work just like the first, without needing to change software or settings.
